PBS North and The North 103.3 is pleased to announce the premiere of In Business with Almanac North set to debut this fall.

Building upon the trusted legacy of Almanac North, this program will spotlight the individuals, organizations, and innovations driving economic growth across northern Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula. Through insightful interviews and in-depth storytelling, In Business with Almanac North aims to explore the evolving landscape of regional commerce.

In an era marked by rapid change, small businesses face unprecedented challenges. Inflation, rising costs for goods and services, and the difficulty of recruiting and retaining qualified workers are top concerns for many local entrepreneurs. Navigating shifting regulations and compliance requirements adds another layer of complexity, making it increasingly challenging to anticipate how these factors impact both individual businesses and the broader local economy. In Business with Almanac North aims to provide clarity and insight by featuring trusted voices and perspectives from across our communities.

In Business with Almanac North is the result of collaborative efforts with local Chambers of Commerce directors, whose invaluable input has shaped the program’s direction. Their participation ensures that the content resonates with the real-world experiences of business owners in our communities.

The inaugural episode of In Business with Almanac North will air Thursday, November 6, 2025, with subsequent episodes available weekly on PBS North’s Explore Channel with a simulcast on The North 103.3 on Thursdays at 5:30 pm. The program will also be accessible at its regular Friday scheduled time of 8:00 pm and on-demand through the PBS App, YouTube, and PBS Passport.

“We are pleased to continue the legacy of Almanac North by focusing on the stories of those who are shaping the economic future of our region,” said Patty Mester, President & CEO of PBS North. “This program is a testament to the strength and resilience of our local businesses and the communities they serve.”
