Calling All Awesome Kids!
In 2026, America will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding as a nation. In preparation for this semiquincentennial, PBS North is launching America’s Awesome Kids, an initiative that seeks to capture and showcase a wide range of kids (ages 8-10) and their unique geographies, customs, interests, skills, and experiences.
Application Details: Interested? In a short video (2-3 minutes), share what’s awesome about your interests, hobbies, talents, culture, traditions, family, community, local landmarks, natural environment, and anything else you’d like us to know. Applicant must live in the state of Minnesota.

- Film a 2-3 minute video
- Fill out the attached release form
- Send your video and release form to cbrown@pbsnorth.org
If selected, a production team will come to your hometown to film you, for a chance to be featured, along with other kids across the country, on PBS KIDS in Summer 2026.
