What do our grocery lists say about our lives, our heritage, and our neighborhoods?
On Saturday, May 16, we’re inviting the community to step inside our production studio for a special Independent Lens Pop Up screening of The Grocery List Show.
From “Top Chef” to the International Market
Hosted by Top Chef contender Chrissy Camba, this film isn’t just about food, it’s about connection. We’ll follow Chrissy to five bustling international grocery stores across America, meeting the people who keep global traditions alive through shared meals and family recipes.
Whether you’re a lifelong foodie or just love a good story about community, this screening offers a fascinating look at the cultures that flavor our country.
A Look Behind the Scenes
We usually spend our days behind the cameras, but for this event, we’re opening the doors to the PBS North Studio (the same place where we produce Great Gardening and Native Report!).
We’re transforming our workspace into a cozy, pop-up cinema for the afternoon. It’s a chance to see where the magic happens, meet the team from PBS North, and engage in a community conversation after the credits roll.
