PBS North is excited to announce a Request for Proposal (RFP) for website development services for the Minnesota First Nations project. We are seeking a skilled and passionate website developer to create a dynamic digital platform that will engage and educate audiences of all ages.

Project Overview:

The Minnesota First Nations website will be a comprehensive online hub, designed to connect students, educators, and the general public with valuable information and resources. Built on the WordPress CMS, this project will integrate multimedia content, interactive features, and educational tools to enhance user engagement and understanding. Aligned with state standards for Indigenous education, the site will serve as an extension of PBS North’s Native Report program, expanding our reach beyond traditional broadcast media.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected vendor will be responsible for:

  • Website Design and Development: Creating a user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive website that highlights Native American history and culture.
  • Content Integration: Seamlessly integrating multimedia content, educational resources, and a map interface.
  • Educator Tools: Developing downloadable lesson plans and interactive features for PBS Learning Media.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimizing the site for search engines to maximize reach.
  • Accessibility: Ensuring the site meets WCAG guidelines for accessibility.
  • Training and Documentation: Providing training to PBS North staff and delivering comprehensive documentation.
