Minnesota Legacy Funding
Preserving Northland Arts, Culture & History
In 2008, Minnesota voters passed the landmark Clean Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment to the Minnesota Constitution. This constitutional amendment created the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund (ACHF), dedicated to preserving Minnesota’s rich history, celebrating local artists, expanding access to cultural education, and documenting regional heritage.
Through legislative appropriations administered by the Minnesota Public Television Association (MPTA), Legacy funding directly supports PBS North’s original local productions, educational outreach, and digital storytelling.
Help Keep Legacy Storytelling Strong
If you value the arts, history, and cultural heritage programming broadcast on PBS North, consider letting your local state legislators know how Legacy-funded public television impacts you and your family.
